I thought it could have been Michael E Briant which might mean it was for "Colony in Space" or perhaps "The Sea Devils". I've tried looking online and reviewed six full episode commentary tracks but I can't find it. I'm guessing @tobyhadoke.bsky.social would know.

It is also a word that has jokingly, flippantly, sarcastically (one might almost say, facetiously) decided to adjust its meaning from "elegant and polished".
