Black bear climbing up a tree after it had stolen some chicken scratch (mixed grains) by jumping up and down on a metal garbage can storing the grain. My husband found this bear on the porch and shooed it away right before it climbed this tree.

“In Alaska even the moose pray for spring.”
In our little city you can see a moose on her knees in the snow. She is actually eating a bit of grass next to the snow. This is not part of her diet as in the winter, moose primarily eat branches, twigs, and dead wood.

This is a beautiful little Russian Orthodox Church in an out-of-the-way town of Nikolaevsk, Alaska. Beautiful Russian artwork surrounds the entryway. A new church is being build behind this one.

World famous Salty Dawg Saloon, Homer spit, Alaska. It attracts tourist from around the world. All the walls and ceiling are covered with dollar $bills people place there. The money has the person’s name, where they are from and the date when they were there.

Denali mountain is the tallest mountain in North America. The peak is often covered by clouds so I was lucky to go there when the whole mountain was visible.
