Not a surprise to me. I was already psyched, because Dragon Quest Builders 2 was an amazing game that took hundreds of great hours from me, and made it go by so fast. This will be my next Builders game, with some other genres mixed in.

Fulfilling the pattern of “if a game is announced for a Nintendo System, and Randy personally hypes it up, don’t count on it.” Last time this happened, Aliens Colonial Marines. And I’m sure he didn’t want to do something which brings that game up, again. But he did. I hope this pattern ages poorly.

Agreed. If there is one wish for me, is that Sony produces more first party games.

This makes sense. I have the 3DS version, and I do remember that one of the pet peeves of DQ7 is how many people never could get to the end of it. If they cleaned this up to where the length is more doable, without disturbing the narrative or gameplay, this could be a more digestible version.

Not asking you to confirm this, but (for me) my main educated guess is that a new console release shadow drops with a Direct.

First day impressions are high. I love having a brand new game-loop added to the game, so it’s already giving me some fresh vibes to it. We’ll just have to see as days pass.

Very nice gesture for the people who already own the game. That should even give a bump to people replaying it.

Starting to already see some early previews with some surprisingly good performance news on it.

I really hope people don’t see the idea of sharing CP as a political stance. I guess there *could* be a political party made behind that; but I can’t tell you where it would be acceptable.

60fps and a higher resolution to boot.

Even more danger with the free DLC after you beat the main game. (Even though it already had an endgame)

Right after a number of this week’s releases, including the Free DLC for Fantasy Life I, they just keep giving now.

Or at least, no in-game censorship by means of Nintendo on 3rd parties.
December 23, 2025 at 3:45 PM
Not a problem. The comment section, though; full of truly ignorant posts. But yeah, I can see them doing that for the Store-front graphic. But yeah, there has been no in-game censorship on stuff since the first Switch launched. It generally had to be done by the developer/publisher themselves.

This is the smaller size. Funny enough, the original versions were nearly twice this size. Oddly enough, still smaller on SW2 than Split Fiction.

Interesting that they picked Overcooked 2 instead of All you can Eat. Though maybe due to the idea that All you can Eat is the only version currently with problems running on Switch 2. Still, would’ve been nice to have a S2 version of that one. Fortunately, I already have Overcooked 2 so it works.

Nice. And a free upgrade as well.

Nice. It’s a good game, so far. I’m having fun with the systems, and even the Bazaar activities feel a bit like a twist on the mini game challenges that Fantasy Life has for the crafting occupations. Especially when trying to swap things on display based on moment-to-moment customer demand.

You have been killing it when it comes to these remasters. I’m loving them on PC and Switch. Including the way you accurately recreated Doom 64. I wonder if the Descent games are on the radar?
August 26, 2025 at 10:17 PM
Not sure why it would take a lot of work. The game already runs fine on specs that are lesser than the Switch 2 without even using DLSS.

Is it kind of funny with all the comments saying how few people will get this reference (likely right), yet the reference came from the very people who are selling one of the largest most famous video game franchises known to everybody regardless of age. All with the high anticipated release to come

Nice. I forgot how incredibly close to my birthday, this game is.

It works. The site is just busy. I was able to get one. Though it is currently delivery only. You can still pre-order, and maybe later when it comes up, change it to store pickup, if you want.

Another few to add. Monster Hunter Rise/Sunbreak and Generations Ultimate both run at a constant 30fps, including Sunbreak’ most expensive fights. Also, Monster Hunter Strories 2 automatically now runs at a locked 60fps.
