The M23, has taken control of Buzi and Kirotshe since the morning of Wed Jan, 22. This follows the fall of Bweremana and Minova. Minova, which is also a key commercial port, plays a crucial role in the transit of agricultural products to the city of Goma by lake.

#DRC: President Félix Tshisekedi appoints General Banza Mwilambwe Jules as Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of #Congo ( #FARDC), replacing General Chiwewe Christian. The reshuffle comes just days after the advance of #M23 troops into North Kivu province.
