Image posts that are just text are easy to provide alt text on, the minimum really is just copy/pasting the text into the alt text field.
It helps make it more accessible whilst also showing up in relevant searches and respecting people's muted words.

Agreed, it seems so hypocritical.
The amount of people we had to add to the moderation list we're making who otherwise posted detailed news, pro-rights, equality and inclusivity but just did not add alt text was disappointing.

For some it will only be a genocide when it potentially reaches the stage of rounding up the community again.
Too many seem unwilling to call it out to stop it reaching that stage, or fail to recognise erasing history, identity and depriving them of healthcare is genocide in itself.

We found it really disappointing how many accounts we had to add of people who usually champion rights and fairness but seem to not add alt text to make their work accessible to all.

Agreed! We'd love to see it.
We'd love to see posts without alt text either hidden or majorly de-prioritised from the feeds.
It would also allow feed creators to specify that alt text is a requirement to show in their feed.
Until then blocklists it is and hopefully a labeller soon!
