I just returned to Alaska this weekend after a much needed vacation from hurricane force winds. It’s been a brutal winter so far with very little snow. It seems the trick to living here is knowing when you need to leave!

After spending nearly a week unplugged in the wilderness, I just want to get back to the serenity of this instead of what’s going on in the world.

It’s been a while since I picked up R6 markII and shot some photos. This last dusting of snow seemed like the perfect opportunity to get out to Eklutna Tailrace and get some winter scenes.

One of my favorite organizations to volunteer with here in Alaska is Junior Achievement. Getting to spend time in the classroom teaching kids about financial literacy, career readiness and entrepreneurship fills my cup.
