The latest version of the Music app on iOS shows not just the original lyrics but also their pronunciation in Roman. This is a god-send for people like me who listen to Urdu/ Farsi etc music but can’t read Nastaliq.

Thoughts and commiserations to Uzbekistan Airways, who’ve had to take a 4hr 32 min detour around Pakistan and up north western Indian airspace for their usual 2 hr 25 min flight from Tashkent to New Delhi.

(Civilian) airspace in NW India, Pakistan and Afghanistan currently. One flight from DEL to Srinagar landing in about 10 minutes, one more from Kabul to Herat, and two flights about to land in Udaipur. Everything else is shut. DEL-BOM route still seems to be going through.

I tried Duolingo’s new learn Spanish-via-Telugu lesson. I’m a native Telugu speaker and can do A1 Spanish. The Telugu content was translated with GenAI.
The Telugu copy is horrible. HORRIBLE. Badly rendered glyphs, strange new words, incorrect forms for pronouns, incorrect translations etc etc
