The last image my @nikonusa Z9 will ever take as it took an unscheduled bath in the ocean water right after this image was taken. It was considered unrepairable by Nikon and is now a fancy paperweight. But if I only get to take one last image, I’d want it to be of @bellatrixortreat.bsky.social

@bellatrixortreat.bsky.social lies across the cooled lava in Kona, Hawaii. The lava beneath her is dark, rugged, and uncompromising. She is smooth, pale, and impossibly soft by comparison—an elegant curve placed against a landscape forged by fire.

@ayeonnagabrielle.com couldn’t help but lay down on the job a few times during our shoot in Alaska and soak up the 24 hour sunshine and enjoy the cooler temperatures than her home in Texas.

As a wildlife photographer I’ve always been about patience. Waiting for the right moment, the right light. But with @catbardot30 she knows precisely how she looks in the light, and then twists it to suit her. It’s about keeping up. She’s got this energy that I can’t predict, and that’s exciting.

Im torn on these. Not sure which one I like more of @catbardot30 enhancing the Alaskan landscape of Turnagain arm on our recent shoot while she visited me in my home state. B&W, raw image, or edited. What say you?

Been working a lot over the past few months and doing lots of travel and haven’t had much of a chance to sit down and do any editing in a while. Although I thought I’d share a Straight from the camera, with no editing, shot of @catbardot30 in a wild lupine field here in Alaska.

Got out on Saturday night and shot some Aurora near the Knik Glacier. Wanted to stay longer as the show was just starting to get good around midnight, but too many others showed up casting head/tail lights and I was Uber tired. So will have to do a longer shoot next time. #aurora #timelapse
