It's easy for me to say this because I'm don't live in the US, but, from an outsiders perspective, letting the GOP run with this policy - allowing the ACA tax credits to lapse - effectively kills them doesn't it?

I said in a post somewhere that maybe the GOP were taking heat for the shutdown (they were), but they'll definitely be taking a blowtorch when health premiums go up.
