Last line gave me chills. I know you only from posts and felt the pull from you to FL. Made me a little sad that you were unhappy in my adopted home state. Agreed, Pueblo sucks. Welcome home! Respect and appreciation for the amazing work you do!

It’s ok to do several posts to tell us what you’re doing about all this unacceptable, unlawful and un-American behavior. Otherwise you’re just one of us, not 1 of 100 with the power and responsibility to do something about it.

Well done! More posts like this help us advocate for you by making a clear distinction between you and Sen. Bennet. There are loads of them, we just need reminders of how to articulate them.

My bad for engaging.

There just milquetoast and entitled, enjoying their privilege, not moving the dial for their constituents. Both senators voted for way too many Trump appointees. Go along to get along to protect their status, like Polis. That’s all.

Neither of our Colorado senators are equipped for such an aggressive executive branch usurpation of congressional authority since day 1. A few moments of fire don’t make a fighter. @philweiser.bsky.social with dozens of successful lawsuits on behalf of our rights and funding, has shown he gets it.

As for Hickenlooper, he said himself he wasn’t interested in being 1 of 100, he’s more executive material. Only after he polled <1% in a delusional presidential run did he deign to run for senate. He’ll run 1 more time and retire at 81. He’s already a lame duck, in addition to being ineffective.

I’m not campaign staff or here to do research for anyone. However, in addition to my personal observation over 16 years, I would point to 2 sources on Bennett - a Colorado Sun article from 10/22 and Citycast Denver interview last month - just not much to show for our longest serving senator.

Dude is done in CO and likely nationally. What a buffoon.
January 3, 2026 at 10:16 PM
I beg to differ. @philweiser.bsky.social is a much stronger candidate for CO governor than Bennett is or Polis has been. I don’t even know the point of Hickenlooper any more. He needs to find a sunset to giddy up into.
January 3, 2026 at 10:14 PM
At least let’s have a senator we elected work full time in the senate, not part time running for governor. The times requires our representatives’ full attention. If he had anything to show for 16 years I’d feel better, alas there’s nothing of note. After 16 years.
January 1, 2026 at 6:09 PM
CO senators do not get the new environment nor are they capable of the fight. @hickenlooper.bsky.social shouldn’t run for re-election and @bennet.senate.gov should cede CO governor to the fighter @philweiser.bsky.social and return to the private sector with not one thing to show for his service

This is all about Fat donnie getting even with Colorado for not releasing Tina Peters after he gave her a pardon for a STATE CRIME.

Weiser for CO Gov and Gonzalez for Senate. We’ll replace Bennet when he’s up in 2028. He and Hickenlooper have had their chance. More of the same won’t work. The time for fighters is now.

it seems that they've forgotten they are a coequal branch with actual power to check the president. they can even oust their leader. their power wasn't taken; they ceded it. they can exercise it at any time instead of whining.

Here you go, folks in Colorado! These seemed like the 3 who are serious: Karen Breslin, Brashad Hasley, and AJ Zimpfer. Links

Without a call for change in senate leadership, we have to think all the Dems are in on the cave.
