The ability of Federal Democrats to do anything in congress has waned below "improbable" to "impossible." Democrats should give up on congress and start recruiting state governors to launch suit against the federal government, then submit amicus briefs in those cases. Use the courts, Obi-Wan!

Remember, it's important to shoot the messenger. But wait until the fire department is fighting nine other fires that you started so that people really don't notice. Added bonus for including a few people, whom you don't like, amidst some of those fires.

I tried out a #Newegg AI PC Builder feature and, like all the AI products I've attempted to use, it is hot garbage that is a complete waste of time. This junk is not ready for mainstream and attempting to use it, today, is just asking for disaster. There is a future in AI, but it is not here, now.

Anyone who thinks that government can create a regulatory framework that actually protects "investors" has absolutely no idea how crypto-currencies actually work and the impossibility of attempting to chase down stolen funds that have moved out of a jurisdiction.

Chinese consumers slowed buying non-Chinese EVs and drove Jeep out of China due to the effectiveness of cultural boycotts. DJT ushered in a US isolationist approach that will take decades to fully undo in China. If the aim was to launch a WW, then mission accomplished.

The phrase "US foreign aid" sounds like the US is simply giving money and arms to allies (c.f. Israel and Egypt), but most of the money is spent on US, companies, workers and resources to project soft power globally. Stopping US foreign aid is a defacto surrender of America's SuperPower status.

IMO, kicking tiktok to the kerb is good for humanity and could've been good for democracy. If only it could've been done when it mattered, and not now that the die is cast.

I need to get ahead of this trend so I'll hereby propose a sanity-based "Million Moist Moms March" for all the parents who need to remain off the wagon through the first quarter of 2025.

I watched Dark City in theatrical release in 1998 and didn't like it. I rewatched it last night after seeing a bunch of recommendations for it. And I still thought that it was ridiculous. I've suspended my disbelief for a lot of inane dreck and silliness but Dark City was a world too far.

A Honda+Nissan merger makes no sense for Honda. If Honda wants Mitsubishi, it could purchase them from Renault without acquiring the rest of the Nissan. And if Honda did actually merge with Nissan, would that make it part of the Renault group? I can't see how that would benefit Honda's brand at all.
