Curious if the “i just saw Wicked” Instagram posts are the dam breaking on phone use in theaters. Will be interesting if so, society has held on to that as a no-phone zone for so long.

something I think about often: the creators of Austin Powers essentially bulletproofed their movie against the progressive march of culture because Austin himself is brought back from cryo and is offensive to a 90s/00s culture—any more offensive he is to 20s society is reflected in the work itself
