Latest 2 are for this weeks #cinechums #moviechallenge with the theme of Siblings, 2049 was finally watching the Open Matte version.

Thrillers was one of the strongest genres of the year for me, found it very hard to pick a favourite and runner up. Other genres like sci-fi, action and comedy had a much weaker 2025 for me.

Alright, first tricky one of the year so here are a few suggestions from my watch history if people are hunting:

Honestly this was the most stacked category this year imo, where every single nominated titles was really really good.

Great movie, but this award/category remains imo the dumbest in the entire awards circuit.

My favourite version of this is when they do it for major, long term anniversay/departures. "Thanks for your time, we could not even be bothered to write a quick paragraph about your value to the company"

The acceleration of enshitification of many platforms has lead to the acceleration of me bailing on the entire Microsoft ecosystem and increasing my mitigration away from Google.

Yeah it's sure been a year for that, upside is some of them have pushed the boat too far so now I'm bailing on their products entirely.

One of my favourite challenges from last year, super excited to see it return. No suggestions this week because I'm selfishly motivated :P

We really kinda need anything postive to happen, I think it must burn.

Everyone should have heaps to watch for this one, but I'll shout out some ideas of lesser appreicated 2025 movies those those wanting to catchup.
