I never do. Would have helped, I see, since only one of my guesses hasn't come up before. But I think I'd rather fail on my own than win with help.

Very good at quickly showing payments out, very slow at showing payments in. I have talked this through with them and got as far as 'it is what it is'

I'm looking at "relationship debt" post-separation though, where as I understand it, if it's "common enterprise" during the relationship, the debt should be considered shared. Not enough detail in this particular story, but there is a protection.

Serious question though - is the partner not still responsible for half the debt? I ask this as someone who retrained inside a marriage in which I carried the care duties. I didn't think divorce meant you could walk away from what was shared debt.
