More alignment with government priorities and emphasis on economic benefits. Easy fix would be to re-introduce the pathways to impact section on applications + make it explicitly part of scoring grants for panels.

It’s not cuts. Not to this years budget anyway. But DSIT are forcing a rethink on what gets funded. This is coming across the whole of UKRI in next 12 months.
