Last month, Cooking Vinyl hosted an exclusive playback of the Atmos mix of 'I Robot' to mark its reissue. After the playback, Alan Parsons joined fans for a Q&A live from his home in California. Here he is discussing how remixing the album in Atmos and 5.1 opened up new creative space in the mix.

Remastered at Abbey Road, this landmark release is available as a Super Deluxe Box Set, black and clear vinyl editions, and an expanded CD.

In this 2009 interview, Eric Woolfson reflects on the fortunate timing of ‘I Robot’s’ release in 1977, the same year Star Wars hit cinemas and robots became a cultural phenomenon.

With a robot-like figure on the cover, the album tapped into the moment perfectly.

Lenny Zakatek’s vocal on 'I Wouldn’t Want To Be Like You' is the finishing touch on one of The Alan Parsons Project’s most enduring songs. Before lending his voice to APP, Lenny fronted the band Gonzalez, who were represented by Eric Woolfson prior to his partnership with Alan.

This week in 1979, ‘Eve’ was released.

The fourth Alan Parsons Project album delved into themes of female strength and the challenges faced in a male-dominated world. It also happened to be named after Eric Woolfson’s mother-in-law!
