Great to see there is a win-win-win scenario!

Have you tried dry land rice production? Because growing rice in flooded fields is a major source of methane emissions.

No reductions since 1990, that is true. But 1990 was not the peak.

There's just one problem. Canadians are boycotting travel to the US, and that will not change anytime soon.

Ending deforestation and scaling up natural carbon capture in forests and oceans?

We can do that!

We can have nice things if we want.

Reforesting the land used to produce feed and fodder for livestock would remove billions of tonnes of CO2 each year and would not come at the expense of producing abundant and nutritious food for humanity, as meat and dairy are unnecessary in the human diet.

There is another get-out-of-jail card.

"If the world went vegan the regrowth of trees and wilderness could sequester around 547 billion tonnes of CO2."

What are the carbon opportunity costs of our food?
What are the carbon opportunity costs of our diet? How much carbon could we store by regrowing forests and wild habitats on existing farmland?

From the IPCC mitigation report, here are the recommended actions.

The budget at this point in time is zero. We need zero emissions asap.

The article mentions that cutting methane one of the primary actions we need to take. Here is how to do that.

Methane emissions are driving climate change. Here’s how to reduce them.
This primer explores the causes of methane emissions and how the world can limit the release of this potent greenhouse gas.

If we redistribute their wealth amongst the rest of us, will emissions go down?

I mean, I am all in for redistributing their wealth, but I don't think that will reduce GHG emissions nor will it solve the biodiversity crisis.

Here is the list of actions needed, via the IPCC Mitigation report.

Sustainable livestock is an oxymoron.

You people keep fiddling while the planet burns.
