Karrak, the antagonist of my story, Spirits of Alaruk. Craving power, he starts a cult using sheltered people by manipulating them and promising them land and resources if they follow his plan to invade a nearby fuuglan clan.

I've learned that thalassophobia is surprisingly common, which is a shame because I think the deep sea is a very cool place to explore as long as I'm not personally in it.
Anyway, this is Dlakali, a sea/desert hybrid fuglan who is very good at diving.

Notes for generic fuglan species. Each tribe more or less has these traits, which may vary for environmental adaptations. They are a semi-open species, meaning you CAN make your own if you really wanted to, but they have a lot of lore and culture that goes along with them.

A tukra or "lost spirit". These restless ghosts of deceased fuuglans suffer from their misery, isolation, fear, and hatred. A source of negative energy known as rranha emanates from tukran that can negatively impact the bodies and minds of the living.

It's been awhile since I've worked on my game demo. Today I added a lighting effect, which is really just punching a hole through a transparent black overlay. I prefer the version on the right where the light blends more into the darkness. #GameDev #GameMaker

My friend Nombie requested "three fuuglans in a trenchcoat"! Volcanic fuuglans are the smallest of all fuuglans, about kobold sized, so they were perfect for this.
