He/him.

Cat-lover, metalhead, Trekkie, music enthusiast, geek, book nerd.

Blue soul in Alaska.

Slava Ukraini.
That was a PHENOMENAL episode, and it put me down the rabbit hole of "oh shit, I know this guy, what else has he been in?"

And I do LOVE going down those rabbit holes, cos I'm ALWAYS happy to see unsung character actors get their flowers!

Spencer Garrett's a goddamn jewel.

I want to see people sworn in on the Constitution. That is the only 'religious book' US Politicians should adhere to.

I don't know who Adam Crum is (probably a good thing), but some asshat named Matt Heilala has been infiltrating my podcast feed for the last month and a half, and after doing some cursory research, I hate the fucker on principle.

Your qualifications are....retired podiatrist?

SERIOUSLY?

Did you remember to submit the ID10T form to your refrigerator manufacturer?

One of the best memories I have from this show is when you covered "On Deadly Ground," because it reminded me of that time when my dad got blown up in an oil field as an extra!

But, he got to bring me to the set on the day that Michael Caine was there, and that man was LOVELY.

This show turned me on to SO many movies that I either missed the first time because I was a kid in rural Alaska, or because I never cared to watch them because they weren't popular genre films in my 20s, or because they were flicks I WANTED to watch in my 30s and never had the time because of work.

Holy freaking kittens....

Wow.

I knew this would happen....I've known for a decade....you called it in the first episode, for Crom's sake!

Still....the final reality of it is difficult to come to grips with.

This show has been a part of my life for a DECADE.

And, I will miss it.

If I can't get a full on DS9 set (let's face it, it would PROBABLY cost more than the Death Star to do it right, and there's no WAY I could ever afford that shit), and, as I JUST put together a model of the Defiant (and I'm painting it now!)....I'd be happy with the Enterprise D bridge.

Rob Reiner gave me that gift....and I will ALWAYS love him for it.

Also, that soundtrack....I ABSOLUTELY love it....I knew this soundtrack was AMAZING before I ever knew who Mark Knopfler was....before I heard "Telegraph Road" or "Tunnel of Love" or "Romeo and Juliet."

😢

Stand By Me (MY FAVORITE!!!!), The Princess Bride, BOTH Spinal Taps, Misery, A Few Good Men, The American President, When Harry Met Sally....fuck.

Defending My Life.

A dude who made MANY of my favorite movies made a documentary about a man who made ANOTHER one of my favorite movies.

Goddammit....

But, I have seen SO many movies and checked out SO many musicians that I now LOVE because of this show, that I would have never checked out nor even known about otherwise....it's enriched my life in ways that I don't have the words to describe, except to say....thank you.

You will be missed. 🖖

I've been listening from day one. And I can go back further to when Brett was brainstorming the show on LT back in the day.

This show has been a constant in my life for the past decade. The TV segment I can take or leave, and the gaming segment just serves to remind me that I'm fucking old.

The Princess Bride has been one of my favorite movies since I was a literal child....I think I first saw it when I was about 10 or 11....the same age as Fred Savage in the movie, back in the very early 90s.

I loved it so much that when I found out it was a *real* book, I bought it immediately.
