It's kinda surreal reading an article on CNN's website where CNN says that CNN declined to give CNN comment over a lawsuit involving CNN. I think RFK gave them some of his brain worms...

I'm not sure which aspect of this chart is more alarming. There's the extreme growth of both humans and domesticated animals over the past 200 years, the fact that humans make up such a large proportion of thirst biomass, or the sharp decline in wild land and marine mammals. It all sucks.

I got my 20 year veteran's cape. I don't know why I keep buying these things, they're nowhere near as good as some of my other capes, but I like having them I guess. Not like I'm low on bank space.

It is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL that blue states start building affordable housing and addressing their cost-of-living crises. Even ignoring the impact it will have on people living there, we're setting ourselves up for complete Republican domination after the 2030 census.

Certain people need to stop lumping everyone who uses cannabis under the same category of "pothead." This is a 1 gram vape I got 19 months ago. Still nearly half of it left. Contrast that with @valeroo.bsky.social, who can practically build a house from his used vapes. We are not the same.

How have my politics evolved over the past 3 years? Honestly, there wasn't much room for more movement down and to the left, but I managed it. Today's politics are radicalizing indeed.

Just found myself going down a rabbit hole about why judges and lawyers in the UK wear those hideous dead poodles on their heads. Apparently, it's "to bring a sense of formality and solemnity to the court." I would struggle to take anyone wearing these things seriously, personally.

This post and the replies to it are so disheartening. Obama basically just did a "thoughts and prayers" post and people are acting like he's some paragon of virtue who is exactly what this country needs. We don't need "back to normal." Normal is what got us to where we are.

I've been getting some extremely random ads lately. I neither grow potatoes nor live in/near Colorado. Whatever program Google uses to target its AdSense clearly is having some issues. I suspect they're fucking around with AI. Hopefully it costs them a lot of revenue.

I wish all those websites that grade states on how safe they are for LGBTQ+ people would stop including proposed legislation in their metrics. Anyone in a state legislature can introduce a bill. All you need is 1 loon. Look at our legislature and tell me you think those anti-trans bills will pass.

Who wants these in their food? I just spent the past 90 minutes trying to remove these things from the areas where we store our ingredients. I just had to put the entire facility on high alert to ensure nobody ingests toad poison. So nice working in QA again...

I'm not as big a fan of the type of people I'm surrounded with at my new job as I was at my last one. One of my coworkers was wearing this shirt while loudly spewing fascism in the break room. Definitely a marked decline in the quality of people commensurate with the average level of education...

I love FFXIV. In many ways, it's a superior game to WoW. It does, however, fall short in some very key aspects. The two images I post below should make my point pretty clear. There's an obvious victor here.
