I mean yeah its an anime based on a japanese manga. They are going to speak japanese because it was made in Japan. But it takes place in England. It the same reason why Samurai Jack speaks english. But Vinland saga has a english dub.

Well they are not japanese 🤔 but I get it.

I think people expected a revenge story while Vinland Saga is more about finding meaning in life. It's not for everyone but I loved the first season. I haven't watch the second season yet.
