Comparing thermal imaging and visible light photography. It’s incredible the amount of information we miss from the electromagnetic spectrum. The temperature differences are tiny, but the thermal camera can map the color gradient in a way that makes it visually more contrasting. #flir #flire6pro

Nikkor Z 135mm f/1.8 S Plena compared to the old Nikkor AF-D 135mm f/2 DC. 34 years of advancements have made the Plena a phenomenal lens! Note I could only add four images, I will add more in the comments.

I’m at it again, this time making a mandarin orange liqueur with a bit of mint. I also juiced some of those oranges and concentrated the juice from 6 cups to just under 6oz, to add into the liqueur. If all goes well, in another 20 days I should something really delicious! 😋

Playing with lights, reflections, and a knife suspended mid air. This was shot with a Nikon Z8, Z 135/1.8 Plena, and five Kelvin Play RGBACL light panels. Out of almost 1900 photos, I whittled them down to only three.

Mixing ratios of my blueberry liqueur and the vanilla extract I made a few years ago. 30:1 is what I consider the max vanilla amount, as it’s almost overwhelming the blueberry. Blueberry has a subtle flavor, an it doesn’t take much to obfuscate it.

Blueberry liqueur anyone? This was super easy, and only took eight days to make. I used 1.5lb of blueberries, zest from three lemons, and a few mint sprigs. Blueberries predominate, with a hint of lemon zest up front, while the mint shows up towards the back. This should be right around 100 proof. 🤘

I shot this while working during the 2024 Paris Olympics. I was lucky to get her at just the right time of day, that exact spot, and coming out of the shadows.

This is the Tokyo skyline with Mount Fuji behind the clouds. I forget if it was near sunrise or sunset but it was too good to pass up. It’s a panorama I stitched several years ago while visiting family in Japan.
