The real pain in dealing with trash is breaking down all the cardboard that people just throw out haphazardly and washing the compost bin. And hauling full bins up stairs would be a pain, I think we may look into a moveable ramp thingy for our stairs.

Hmm… I spend maybe 30 min a week on ASP to avoid a $65 ticket. Bringing back 4 bins would take maybe 5 minutes tops? The orange bin has to be hosed, the others don’t, they have liners. So I guess like $150-$200 a month? Annoying that it’s every week… but that’s already part of the super’s job

I’d call that full time. I agree with you broadly that shared on street containers would be better, but the additional work of bringing bins in is so minimal the real inconvenience is the commute. Maybe this other building is just going to find another arrangement - nothing is 10 min with parking…

Huh. That seems crazy inconvenient to have two part time jobs a driving commute away.

Do you know what percent of buildings have non on-site supers? My understanding/experience is that most would be either on-site or at least very nearby, like on the block, they could be the super for multiple nearby buildings. Certainly not driving in just for trash.

Spirit is great. Just don’t go in with the wrong expectations. Simple, easy to fly. Cheap.
