A lot of people don't even know they exist! Haha. I just happen to love these weird, effed up little guys. They are definitely a problem in areas they have been introduced though, since native fish in those areas haven't evolved defenses against them.

They're only invasive in some areas of the states (the great lakes specifically)! They're indigenous to other areas, including pretty much the entirety of both coasts. Here in the PNW, the pacific lamprey is actually a protected species!
