To me, this is even worse than openly being hateful in any context

If I had to guess, because someone in the organisation chain who is male feels threatened by the notion of hosting an inclusive event and a female presenting person winning.

I'd need to find a source but it's been some years, but I seem to remember an article about one of the big studios (with regards to CoD?) saying that this was absolutely a deliberate tactic. Crowd up people's limited storage space to keep them just on your game.

Put plenty of hours into that game. Definitely a personal favourite, for all it's flaws.

It is constrained by needing to fit inside rank and file units without bashing into other models, but they were definitely more cautious than they needed to be. I can't honestly say I hate the model but it's nothing special.

What specific examples triggered this thought? Legitimately curious as I do agree they've made some questionable choices but nothing springs to mind recently
