My newest live-action project from college is out now on my YouTube channel!

Join me as I get teleported to a strange universe of floating cubes and hills forming a smiley face. Could I find a way back home?

I just watched a Betty Boop cartoon called “Betty Boop and Henry the Funniest American”.

It was blatant false advertising because Henry may be American, but he sure wasn’t “funny”, let alone the “funniest American” smh

Had a dream a while back in which I discovered the existence of the "Grave of the Fireflies/Super Mario World 2-in-1" for the Wii. It basically functioned as a DVD except for a "special features" section that literally only had an SNES emulator playing Mario World. It went for absurd prices on eBay
The cover for a fake Wii game consisting of both the 1988 Studio Ghibli film, Grave of the Fireflies, and Super Mario World; both are represented on the cover, the former by the poster of Seita carrying his sister Setsuko across a field and the latter by the artwork of Mario wearing a cape and riding Yoshi. The cover promises "TWO classics in ONE!".

20 years ago today (October 4th, 2005), Disney's Cinderella was released in a platinum edition on DVD and VHS.

I have good nostalgia for this trailer of it. Such powerful music, and in my opinion, it's the best trailer with Mark Elliot's narration.

I wasn’t originally planning this, but I saw Casper today after seeing One Battle After Another.

Movie holds up a lot better than I expected (I don’t think I’ve seen it fully since I was a toddler on VHS). The packed audience of kids and adults were enjoying this too.

This movie is a banger guys, I recommend it!

It was the first Paul Thomas Anderson movie I watched, too. #OneBattleAfterAnother

I’ll personally keep an open mind on Skydance’s animated movies even if I wasn’t a fan of their output so far and the Lasseter elephant in the room.

Swapped could be another safe and generic kids movie, but Brad Bird’s Ray Gunn is the one I’m most interested in. Wish it wasn’t Netflix-only.

What’s even more confusing is that Dr. Robotnik generally has 4 fingers in Sonic Underground, but even then he would sometimes have 5 fingers as an error.

Fun(ny) Sonic Underground fact: The cast were gonna have 4 fingers, but Sega of Japan told DIC to reanimate them with 5 fingers since 4-fingered hands were tied with the yakuza.

However, some promo art as well as certain shots in the show + intro accidentally use 4 fingers.

To me, Betty Boop and Popeye appearing together is the classic cartoon equivalent of Crash and Spyro being together.

Two characters connected under a company (Paramount/Fleischer/King Features) that work so well together that they could logically be in the same world.

Yeah, they did the animation.

Out of morbid curiosity and because it’s from DreamWorks, I saw Gabby’s Dollhouse The Movie despite having almost no knowledge of the Netflix show.

Obviously a movie for preschoolers, but seeing the kids dancing to “Skibidi Meow” during the credits made watching this worth it.

What a timeline we’re living in when a preschool movie featuring a song called “Skibidi Meow” becomes the first ever DreamWorks Animation movie to earn an A+ from moviegoing audiences on CinemaScore.

Sony Pictures Animation is a great studio full of talented creatives, yet the company its named after constantly underestimates their ideas outside of anything Spidey-related, despite the proven success of certain original movies.

Someone please get those people better bosses.

This is also the third Netflix Animation production that’s animated at Sony Pictures Imageworks after Over the Moon and The Sea Beast, both of which were Oscar nominated, so I think they are expecting this to be the same.

If KDH hadn’t been a critically acclaimed hit on Netflix, this may have been the animated film they’d push the hardest for the Oscar.

I don’t think In Your Dreams looks necessarily bad (concept has potential), but it has a lot of work to do to stand out from the pack.
