Terminado. Podría echarle otra hora, pero creo que está bien. La idea de copiar el primer capítulo de One-Punch Man es practicar como si estuviera currando. Le he echado 4-5 horas, demasiado para un ritmo profesional, pero no está mal.

Ya he terminado un 85-90% de la página. Ya sólo queda añadir los últimos efectos de luz y echar un último vistazo para corregir.

Me está dando una ansiedad tremenda trabajar en esta página. Es mucho curro y mi cabeza no para de decirme "Pero qué haces, que esto va a quedar fatal, va a ser una mierda y no le va a gustar a nadie...".

Exported image of a double page spread of the One-Punch Man manga I'm copying. The first panel is almost two thirds of the total width. In the exported image I have realized that I've set the double page up wrong in Clip Studio Paint and there's a piece of the center of the drawing missing, the part where the two pages meet.

¡Toma ya! Al final he sido capaz de terminar el nemu del primer capítulo de One-Punch Man, con lo que hoy he abocetado 13 páginas. No está nada mal, aunque reconozco que hacia el final ha bajado la calidad. Y que, a fin de cuentas, estoy copiando. Ya veremos cuánto tardo con la tinta…

Ayer empecé el nemu del primer capítulo de One-Punch Man. Me dio tiempo a hacer 9 páginas. Hoy seguiré, con intención de terminar el resto del nemu. A ver si también me da tiempo a empezar la tinta de la primera.

Sometimes I feel like doing something artsy, but I'm frustrated with my art level. So, I color something drawn by someone else. It allows me to get better with markers or brushes and experiment a little.

In this case, a Xmas illustration with acrylic markers. The golden was already on the canvas.
Acrylic markers on a canvas that I bought with a pre-drawn illustration. There's Santa's sleight (painted in green) drawn in golden thick lines. On the sleight there are three characters: a polar bear, Santa, and a penguin. The bear and the penguin both have golden scarves. Santa's belt buckle is also golden. I left the ground blank (white) and added some grey shadows to make it look like snow. The starry sky is black for the most part, except at the bottom where it's partly blue.

I had a great time with my Christmas gift: the 320 Ohuhu Honolulu B alcohol based markers.

I've spent several hours filling the color swatches sheets and sorting the markers out.

I love Ohuhu markers and I think it's time to do some practice and start opening commissions next year!

Nice practice session. I started sketching some hands and then I wanted to practice inking with brush and nib pen. I loved every minute of it! I have to do this more often!

Sketch of my family. I'm planning a webcomic manga loosely based on us hehe. This is my current process for working on covers. First, I write what the cover is for. Then, I list the themes and main characters that appear in the comic. After that, I have five spaces for thumbnails, two of them with a sketch. And below the sketches I've analized them to see how well they can serve for the cover. Sketch (ink over pencils) of the main protagonist of one of my mangas. That manga is well advanced, I have some of the world-building and the plot for the series. I'm starting to work on the plot of the first chapter as well as the plot for a one-shot that I want to do, as exploration, before I immerse myself in such a long endeavor.

I have a calendar with daily phrases. I liked the first few, but then they run out of ideas and they became SO bad.

This is a comic strip (in English and Spanish) inspired by yesterday's phrase.

The phrase is in Spanish, so I've done my best to translate it as accurately as possible.
At the top, the translated phrase: "A smile is less expensive than electricity, but it illuminates much more". Below them, two characters in cartoon style. The one in the left is painfully smiling. So much so that he's crying from the effort. He has cables attached to his smile. The cables are attached to a lightbulb being held by the other character. He's got a serious, kinda angry expression, and he's saying: "Are you sure you're doing it right? It doesn't light up..." Arriba se ve la cita: "Una sonrisa cuesta menos que la corriente eléctrica, pero da mucha más luz.". Debajo, dos personajes cartoon. El de la izquierda sonríe tanto que le duele al punto de llorar del esfuerzo. Hay cables que van de la sonrisa a una bombilla que sujeta el otro. Tiene una expresión seria, casi de enfado, y dice: "¿Seguro que lo estás haciendo bien? Esto no se enciende..."

I have created some simple images to use for streaming and I'll begin soon (next week) to stream my process of improving my art style.

You probably didn't know this (because I think I haven't talked about it), but I'm working on a manga story. I still don't know what to do with it (try my luck with publishers, self-publish as webcomic...), but I have finished the script!

A screenshot of the manga project in Clip Studio Paint. There are miniatures for the pages and every page has a color representing what the page is about. The colors are based on what Kenny Ruíz teaches in his Manga course. Also, you can't see it, but every page has the script copied into it.

A dwarf is resting on a pile of bricks, holding a double bladed battle axe towards someone we can't see. He's not happy. He's bald and has a beard with a bead at the end. He's wearing a tight shirt that shows his musculature, bracers, combat boots (with steel toe) and pants. The dwarf is saying: "Yer about to realize what a mistake that was, my friend". Only in the original all Rs are double, but I thought it might sound weird if you can't read it.
