I wonder if Comedy Central's logo designer grew up in Wales.
Comedy Central's logo compared with the BBC Wales logo from the late-60s and early-70s, both using the letter C in a circle with a bit cut out of it.

That one was on BBC-1 Network at 17.35 on 15-5-85, an hour later in Wales, and on the 17th at 18.35 in Northern Ireland.

It's the 22nd anniversary of my first heart attack (at a pre-press conference screening of Love Actually in Sheffield). Not a method I'd recommend to get a quote on a film poster, but it was the only thing I could think of saying to the publicity lady when she rang the hospital to see how I was.
A publicity poster for the film Love Actually with a quote from me on it - I almost died laughing, given after the film company rang the hospital to see how I was doing.

I'm watching last night's Face The Music and astonished myself by getting the Dummy Keyboard answer before the music came in.
It was the first piece used in the 1979 ITV Strike until the tape wore out. (Beethoven's Piano Concerto #3 which was networked from an old IBA Test Card tape). #Geek

Did you order half a cup, or are you drinking it through a straw?

The very first episode of 'Joe 90' was released 57 years ago today.

Your week won't get any better than this, trust me.

Alan Taylor seemed to present everything on HTV in the early 70s. As for BBC Wales, Hywel Gwynfryn was their go-to bloke for kids' stuff.

Don't forget to play Spot The Typo during the end credits.
The credits of the BBC's 1974 adaptation of Melissa misspelled Cameraman as Camerman.

If there's one thing Blue Peter taught me, it was the correct spelling of 'desiccated'.
A Blue Peter recipe misspells 'desiccated' as 'dessicated' A viewer's letter to Blue Peter with the correct spelling of 'desiccated'.

Here's some more info.
The first WT came from Studio B in Broadway on 17-09-62. Occasional progs came from Studio A (no reasons are given on the paperwork, but it's probably technical or B was in use). The move to Stacey Road came with programme 207 on Friday, 5-7-63. Telecine stayed in Broadway.

I went to a recording of Sing for Joy in Broadway. Only one episode seems to survive, and it's not the one I went to, where i was sat next to host Glyn Houston

Studio B was in the church (the PasCs show some of the Schools progs were made in it as it was small). C was for News in Stacey Road from what I've found.

Many years ago, either the Paramount Comedy Channel or UK Gold (I really can't remember) ran the series but they had to drop one episode on the day of TX as the quality was too poor. The letters page on their text service gave that as the reason. I wonder if they got a refund?

Interesting timetabling here:
There appears to be a bus after every 20 dances.
#StandardsIsSlipping
An advert for a bus route in Cardiff that says there's a bus every 20 minuets.

I see @bethanyblack.bsky.social has already found it. But yes, 19/12/87 at 14.03/14.
