Peter had misplaced passion and didn't fully trust God's Word (Mk. 14:29-31). How many pastors fail in the time between "If I must die with you, I will not deny you" and the rooster crowing? How many church plants crash and burn because of misplaced passion and not fully trusting God's Word?

In Psalm 79 when the people of God are being mocked by the nations-- what is the response of the psalmist? Instead of prideful and sarcastic wit-driven political posturing-- the psalmist leads by repentance and prayer.
May it be true for us, no matter what the political climate is.
