Aphid sign suggests a healthy habitat. I love when my milkweed is inundated with them. I know it's temporary because birds and ladybirds will make short work of them.

Anybody have a surface-to-air missile I can borrow? Police helicopters are getting out of hand where I live. I promise to give it back. It might have slight wear and tear, though.

Same. Nota fan. I've been suggesting that the entirety of the Marvel/DC Universes would be better off if they went 100% animated (primarily CG), now that it's possible, but nobody is taking my meetings. :)
I have zero interest in other Gunn directed/written DC films. None.

Just finished watching THY KINGDOM COME, an interesting short documentary where Javier Bardem dressed as a priest and talked to real people in dire circumstances. They knew he wasn't really a priest but still were disarmed and honest. Fascinating watch.

Also, fuck Blumhouse.

It's like all of these studio heads got the same hand delivered (no electronic trail) talking points. "GenAI must be used ethically and legally." By its nature, GenAI is a tool that can neither be used ethically or legally. They keep saying it can be, and people keep believing it.

Making my drive home all the better. Is it 5:30 yet?

The character is awesome! Love the new hairdo. I love seeing the updates.

stories I'd read in Creepy and the like. Not earth shattering stuff at all. If you have other recommendations -- real horror shit -- I'd love to hear them.

That's a great point. I recently discovered Junji Ito and, when I told people that I was reading him, they said, "Oh, he's great!"
When I asked if they could recommend other Japanese horror storytellers, I got nothin'. I also didn't think his stuff was all that. It's okay. It felt like B-grade

One of the most complex games I've worked on but, by far, the most rewarding. Great article and take on what I've always felt is a misunderstood and underappreciated game.

True. I was hoping they were going to move on from him in the off-season. If wishes were fishes...

I'll still bitch about him for the rest of the season, though.

No, Pritchett proved he's not up to the task at this point. Certainly, Woolen is a better cover artist than Pritchett. The trade is more wishful fantasy, swapping for some other CB. I don't see the stars aligning, but, man, I'd love to see Woolen jettisoned.

If all it does is generate angry posts and likes on social media, it defines nothing. If people leave work and turn out by the thousands for weeks on end and fight back, then maybe.

These guys don't distinguish between the believers and non-believers. They're there to oppress and terrorize all who are in their sites, whether directly or peripherally.
What happened here is awful, but it's not about religion.

Another day without a Woolen trade.
Make the move, Seattle.

Somebody do the math! What're the odds of this even happening? HR #61 hit to a guy wearing a shirt asking for Cal to hit #61 to him? Crazy! I love this story.

I guess railing against football and those who enjoy it is a better way to spend one's time while Rome burns.

Yeah, this is a head-scratcher. The fact that the Bengals hadn't shored up their backup QB role before the start of the season, given the injury prone nature of their starter, shows a total lack of foresight. Panic ensues and this is their answer? Weird.

I think it's time I start watching the rest of the films of Scott Cooper. I've seen Crazy Heart, Black Mass, & Pale Blue Eye and liked them all. The rest of his catalogue looks really interesting, plus the upcoming Springsteen film.

I'm still trying to figure this out. A biopic about a guy few know about vs. one of the more original films in years and a listening party movie, each costing $15-25. Given that the people seeing the original film have kids seeing the listening party, maybe too much money? Next weekend, maybe?

Man, I need to decompress.

Thank you for doing that.
