Yes! I know that lectures just don't work for me. After a 2h lecture, I'll retain 1-2 concepts. It's so much content that I can't engage with it because I'm scrambling to write it down. Seminar- or classroom-settings, where I can actually think about and discuss the topic, work much better for me.

I understand it's probably more efficient to have students study before the lecture so they can focus on the lecturer's words instead of the slides, but it makes the lecture obsolete for almost everyone who studied beforehand (because they know what's coming) and overloads anyone who's unprepared.
