“I’m gonna paint it” — my older kid said, about his black protective case for AirPods. I expected few cloudy like airbrush strokes.

Nooope. 🤩

Modified Bento box tower, awaiting delivery of activated carbon pellets and HEPA filters plus Noctua DC adapter for the fan power.
I mostly print with PLA so this would be more than enough to catch fumes inside Chitu enclosure.

Improvements in the 3D printer corner. Awaiting desiccant bags now and next is to add activated carbon and HEPA filter in the corner.

In 26.1b4 they avoided the problem by scaling the content out of the way when UI supposed to appear.
💁🏻‍♂️

This is Tinted, significantly more readable.

I’m still waiting for Milky option.

Testing difference between Clear and Tinted in 26.1b4

This is Clear, which is default.

The "best way to build iOS apps"™ is not the best way if the only way to resolve this is start removing parts of the ViewBuilder content one by one until you find the offending piece.

This, right here, is not acceptable in 2025. It is abysmally bad look for […]

From time to time, Claude Code reminds me is still just an LLM hallucinating some random text.

@pasi its ridiculous that their take on this works way better.

It does not try to mimic actual glass behavior thus UI stays readable as you scroll. Icons do not flash between light/dark variants, it just blurs the content behind, likely using UIVisualEffectsView.

AMS Lite is such a workflow improvement for this little printer. So worth it.

It was simpler, back then.

Claude Sonnet 4.5 is *good*.
I am absolutely hammering it with requests to analyze and propose changes in architecture in super complex and large app.

And yes, it's still telling me I am "absolutely right" 🙂. Although not after each sentence hence some improvement there too.

One aspect of iOS 26 redesign I really like is cleaner layout and larger font sizes. Maybe I’m older with failing eye sight 🫣 but this looks super clean.

This is Photos, latest beta of iOS 26 on my dev iPhone, with bunch of screenshots. Utterly, utterly unusable.

(I don’t think I have ever used him as argument but I believe this warrants it: Jobs would be livid seeing this.)

iOS 26 is going to be such joy and pleasure to use.

Two pretty solid prices for barely used M4 Macs. I still don’t need to upgrade from 12-core M2 Pro Mac mini so I them be.

@helge pretty much like this, in repeated tests.

Replacement 2TB SSD from iBoffRCC arrived and was pretty easy to install.
You only need to unplug power connector. Antenna plate and fan can be carefully put aside and SSD module is then accessible.

480€ for used base Mac mini M4 and 280€ for this module […]

Technically — this is perfection. The glass droplet behaves as real drop of liquid would do.

From UI/UX — why? Who is doing hold and slide over to switch tabs / segments instead of just tapping the target. And when you just tap, droplet appears out of […]

Glass effects are mostly cool and nice but usability issues are unavoidable with this much translucency. This is on system wallpaper, completely non-customized iOS installation.

White text on partially light background is the real life scenario that’s…not […]

Browsed through all the default system apps on iOS 26. The best vibe is emanate from Settings.

Larger padding, shadows under navigation bars. It’s really nice.

My poor old iPhone 13 mini gets the honors, again.

New tool acquired as my arm’s reach was not enough anymore.

No more blurry iPhone screens for me. I can actually read stuff on it now.
