There's a line in an ad for Yellowstone where a character says "when i say we give everything for this land, i DO mean everything ", and i guess it's supposed to be deep or something, but the actor puts on this smarmy true-believer look, and it looks as vacuous as it sounds.

The thing that bugs me is that the lies work; Ordered to release ALL the docs by a certain date, they release a tiny amount. Cherrypicked, blacked out, with phony content implicating Dems. Not just Fox, but NYT & WaPo call it "complying" and RW pundits start the gaslighting; "nothingburger", etc.

So, non-Christian here. If i understand correctly, when God was born human as Jesus, both one with & seperate from God, it was necessary that He be born of a virgin... somehow pure, untouched by original sin because of this. But his mother had to also be born pure, untouched by original sin.

It strikes me that the worst corruption is corruption we don't even see cuz it's completely normal & legal & public. People who come from the same money, go to the same schools, sit on the same boards, make business/policy decisions involving public funds overseen by the same people. Closed system.

Drove to Sainte-Adele tonight for a gig. Cold weather for early December. This woman heard the anglo accent in my French & said "pretty cold here up North, eh?"
All us anglos live way down South in Montreal, i guess. But Montreal's 45 minutes away. We get weather too.
Anyway, i live in Lachute.
