A thing I ended up writing

It is his burden to bear that those around him succeed. Yet in his burden he never gives way to anger against those around him, for he rages against the heavens behind his injustice.

His destiny may be to see those around him succeed, yet in his quest he denies destiny’s terms.

When the wise man learned from his past and at last found connection, he could see his reason overtaken by hubris the moment he found success. Only this time he could see it before it all went under, for in his suspicion his ego could no longer blind him.

Always seeking he overstepped, for which he constantly suspected himself for what failed him, yet never learning the key of his failures.
For every time he succeeded, his hubris overtook reason, becoming his nemesis.
