There’s a famous phrase in the Italian cycling lingo, “Un uomo solo al comando” (a lone man in the lead), used by a radio journalist to describe Fausto Coppi in his epic 1949 Cuneo-Pinerolo stage win at the Giro d’Italia. More and more, Tadej Pogacar is “Un uomo solo al comando”.
