oh my goodness. I am an ESL teacher, and my former teacher, who helped me get my C2 degree, made me lose the habit of using the Oxford comma in my essays. In my native languages (Catalan and Spanish) this comma is very common. So I used it in English too. I'll be happy to claim it back.
