La NASA NO ha anunciado el hallazgo de vida en Marte.
Lo que la NASA anuncio es que se ha encontrado "una sustancia o estructura que podría tener un origen biológico". Mas análisis son necesarios.

I already saw posts stating NASA just found life on Mars. We are not quite there yet, though. What NASA revealed is the finding of a strong biosignature. This just highlights the importance of bringing those samples to Earth so they can be analysed further.

NASA Says Mars Rover Discovered Potential Biosignature Last Year
After a year’s worth of scientific scrutiny, the ‘Sapphire Canyon’ rock sample remains the mission’s best candidate for containing signs of ancient microbial life processes.

A potential detection of an exomoon 😱

I admit the first thing I did when I opened the article was to search for @davidkipping.bsky.social name in the list of authors.

A different research group, though.

I talk about exomoons in my book:

Astro community. I have decided that 2024 is the year where I finally get the courage to publish my scicom book.
Looking for people that can give me feedback on the individual chapters.
In return, I will provide digital and physical versions of the book once is published.

Trying to find a reputable reference for the following statement:

"it's estimated that about 5% to 10% of the total stars in the Milky Way are Sun-like stars."

No luck so far 😐
