This game is at the top of my cozy list. But it's also hard! I have never completed all 8 lilys.

Played Royal Visit tonight. The multiple win condition in a very simple tug of war gameplay makes for a game that's tense right from the start. My partner was not pleased that I won a single turn before she was about to close it out. A great 2 player game. #boardgames

I'm on the lookout for games that are very easy and quick to teach even to non-gamers. Would this one fit that description.

While I love bigger complex games, I've recently been teaching less experienced players a lot of easier to teach games, and I have a new appreciation for games that can be taught in 5 minutes or less. Unsurprisingly, I have found this an easier space to practice designing in.

I read the rules wrong the first time and thought you couldn't beat a missions without first defeating all enemies. I was convinced the game was impossible! A very cool game.

Sky Team is a really excellent game. Just learned it tonight. Easy to learn, quick to play and immediately exciting from turn one as you and your co-pilot try not to crash your plane on landing. #boardgames

Bars/restaurants shouldn't need payment. Just ask them if it's okay to host there. If it's a slow night for them anyway, they may welcome the traffic. You can encourage attendees to patronize the business.

Locally near me hosts organize free weekend monthly meetups at the public libraries.

Went to @bostonfig.bsky.social today and saw a bunch of great games and enthusiastic people. Was really impressed by a few student designed games.

Yeah, it plays up to 4 players. The only downside to more players is waiting longer for your turn.

Played Beacon Patrol last night. Cozy co-op game that feels very low stakes. Really enjoyed it.
