IPython doesn't (CPy 3.14.0, Ipy 9.6.0). bpython (CPy 3.13.x, Bpy 0.25) throws a ValueError in VSCode terminal, but not in Ghostty. Thank you, those may provide an angle of attack to narrow down the cause(s).
