Hey Internet, can we uh... can we talk about this? Since when is reminding service members of their Constitutional duty (regardless of whether or not you think that's warranted in this scenario)... sedition??? He also "ReTruthed" someone later saying to "HANG THEM" like "GEORGE WASHINGTON WOULD."

Today's Executive Order offers a policy "solution" to the housing problem as forced institutionalization. What's the over-under that this will manifest entirely as private contracts and that people still aren't taken care of? Because I'll take that bet.

Call to researchers and journalists: can we stop validating xAI's (Elon Musk's) Grok? We need to have it open and honest discussion about disinformation and misinformation engineered into AI systems (also looking at you, DeepSeek), but in the meantime, Grok is categorically different from other AI.

Concerning AG Pam Bondi's argument that '[she] was referring to the Epstein files more generally' instead of a "client list."

Part of your job as an Attorney General is to be precise with your language. Of course people aren't going to believe you now, and you need to expect that.

It's completely feckless behavior. Sen. Murkowski positioned herself as one of the few Republicans that may actually stand up to this nonsense, and yet still pulls this. My eternal disappointment has reached yet new levels.
I’ve been thinking a lot about Murkowski’s vote. It contains, in one action, so much that defines our pathetic political moment:

Selfishness: I’m taking care of me and mine, the rest of you can pound sand;

Lack of accountability: I know the bill is bad, hopefully someone else will fix it;

Republican lawmaker has issues getting a medically necessary abortion under Republican-advanced Florida law, says that it wasn't an abortion (it was), and proceeds to blame Democrats for her medical emergency... okay. So this is where we're at.

Twenty years ago the Republican party stood for huge tax cuts for the rich and wars of choice in the middle east, but then Donald Trump totally remade the party and realigned American poltiics, and now the Republica party stands for...huge tax cuts for the rich and wars of choice in the middle east.

I only have one note for #lastweektonight and their well-researched piece about #juvenilejustice

Two #kidsforcash judges had their sentences commuted by former Pres. Biden. As we vocally and rightfully criticize the current administration and system, we can't ignore slip-ups of the past.

Absolute shame upon Fox News. A lawmaker's body isn't even cold and they've already tried to cast doubt about the assassin: first by implying that the Rep.'s voting record was the motive, then by scapegoating Walz.

The suspect is a Trump supporter and an Evangelical Christian.

Air Force Jets specifically requested by the White House—"wasn't clear why they were added." I get why the AP is reporting it this way, but it seems obvious that it's just that someone at the top wants them. Is this parade really about the Army? #NoKings #NoKingsDay

I think certain outrage over the "86" comments makes a lot more sense if you remember that these peoples' only exposure to the term is because of media like the Sopranos, and not ever having worked a restaurant job.

The Republican budget bill includes a 10-year federal moratorium preventing states from enacting any laws regulating artificial intelligence. States would not be able to stop AI from denying health insurance or firing employees or protect kids from addictive algorithms.

If you *need* to spend millions of dollars to convince people that your political views are valid and worth listening to, they might not be worth listening to. Big money has accelerated disinformation and misinformation, and needs to take a quick exit from US politics.

A brief note regarding the #Anonymous #leak, I've spent the last few hours looking through all the data and I can find nothing actually interesting.

For example, the "leak" on Benjamin Netanyahu is publicly visible HTTP information from his X account and a video from the leaker about exposing him.

I haven't seen anyone talking about how in the #trump #tariffs completely perverted the Golden Rule for their own purpose. "Do unto others as we think they've already done to us" ain't it, chief.
