Yeah I think Starset came out strongest here. A monster of a band that never fails to deliver bangers. Purity Ring is *amazing* too but I suppose Starset is just more my shit.

PRESIDENT was a bit of a dud though. Shame, since Rage is one of the songs of the year.

Those who scoff at 'dumb' names have no idea how hard it is to come up with an original name for your game. I'm searching Steam for names and words not yet used and every damn thing is occupied.

So next time you browse VN's and come across "Edan99;End()Regret Chronicle IV", have some understanding.

I am a firm believer that every game ever made has SOME sort of audience, somewhere, in some form. The real challenge for me isn't the perceived one, (to directly compete with the oceans of game) it's to try to find that handful of fans who want nothing more than to play your game.

But seriously, there is ALWAYS new ways to break ground, or to make underutilized premises/genres more prominent. The video game medium is damn near infinite. Even if "every indie dev and their dad are churning out metroidvanias" or whatever, there is always, always room for everyone who want in.

I think the real problem isn't "there are way too many games", it's "there are way too few Final Fantasy XIII spinoffs."

It's a fascinating world that had at least 2-3 more games in it.

Ever since the age of like 10, I started to have a habit of niging to people instead of bowing, as a way to approve of someone in a funny way. (Niging was a mid-20th century thing, kinda like the female equivalent of bowing)

My mother used to comment on that and ask if I’d become a housemaiden.

Removed all dialogue from the side game.

I’m not always too fond of wordless storytelling but I was really satisfied with the level design and soundtrack, so I prefer to let them do the heavy lifting when it comes to establishing the vibe and theme. Play to the strengths and all.
