Stepping back and looking at it from an historical perspective you have a point, but it matters when you get up close and see how lives are affected. Material conditions matter. Whether or not I can access an abortion or vaccines or marry whoever I want absolutely matters.

I'll just go tell that to some of the people being terrorized and profiled by ICE and I'm sure that will bring them great comfort. I guess it also doesn't matter how many people RFK Jr. is going to kill in the long run. I guess abortion rights and the environment also don't matter.

I think Biden was very very bad, but do those other crimes and abuses Trump is doing mean nothing? The DOGE cuts were as bad as what Biden did? The massive ICE budget and racial profiling? No. People are truly suffering under Trump and that can't be ignored.
