I'm looking forward to your article about Pleurobrachia.

For the mouth, I would vote 1.

It was a good attempt, but those species are found in the North Sea, North Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea, except one species from Japan

Mnemiopsis leidyi
Beroe cucumis
Coeloplana (Benthoplana) meteoris
Pleurobrachia pileus (2x)
Callianira bialata
Hormiphora plumosa
Bolinopsis infundibulum

Bolinopsis, Leucothea, Mnemiopsis, Lampocteis, Beroe x3, Pleurobrachia, Haeckelia, sp. RedX, and Euplokamis, great catch!

Impressive drawings, @beziostudio.bsky.social! So realistic — even some parasites are sneaking into the Beroe 🤯

Happy Ctenophore Day!
These glowing ocean drifters look like jellyfish but aren’t! They’re comb jellies, shimmering creatures that light up the sea with rows of beating cilia 💙🌈
Which species can you identify? 👀 Most are raised in @pawelburkhardt.bsky.social lab

🌊 Happy World Ocean Day! 🌊

To celebrate the beauty and wonder of the Ocean, here is a close-up series of the jellyfish Cyanea lamarckii 🪼
These images were exhibited at the @universitetsmuseet.bsky.social inviting us to appreciate the ocean’s wonders up close.

Corymorpha nutans, it is also the first jelly that appears with the stomach full. They bud from a polyp like the one in this video from @alexandrejan.bsky.social. Crazy hydrozoans!

What better time to celebrate #InverteFest than during plankton season! Check out some of the wonders we found last week while sampling in the Norwegian fjords 🔬🌊 How many species can you identify? @pawelburkhardt.bsky.social

It was an honor to take part in the celebration of 200 years of knowledge at @universitetsmuseet.bsky.social, together with colleagues from across @unibergen.bsky.social departments 🎉🎂 The Burkhardt group showcased comb jellies in the Museum's majestic whale hall ✨ @pawelburkhardt.bsky.social
Four people stand behind a booth in the Bergen University Museum Whale Hall. A skeleton is visible hanging from the ceiling, there are glass cases with specimens. At the booth, an aquarium, a laptop and scientific drawings are displayed. An aquarium with comb jellies, lit from the side to highlight their delicate shape, is displayed on a table covered in a black tablecloth.
