@stephanie Don't forget it is useful to have a portable radio that has a hand cranking charger. Some units include a solar charger too.

@stephanie Gas fireplaces plus portable gas generator linked to house mains via a Generlink unit. I had this installed a few years ago, after the dorecho ripped through Ottawa. Well worth the investment.

DarkSky International just posted their position letter on Reflect Orbital. It is direct and to the point:
