I don’t know why you’re so against ensuring everyone has equal opportunity. This isn’t worth arguing anymore.

All. The. Time.

You’re sea lioning now.

Right so if an entire workforce of a company is white men and the hiring practices effectively prevent women and people of colour from being hired that’s not discrimination in any way shape or form?
January 25, 2025 at 4:36 AM
No. It’s not. You are again purposefully misinterpreting what I have said.

DEI practices help ensure you *aren’t* discriminating by looking at data. That data then informs what needs to be done to fix that.

That is it. There is no ulterior motive. It is quite literally just self reflection.
January 25, 2025 at 4:30 AM
No. The ratios aren’t the deciding factor. Ratios are a data point that helps you determine whether your hiring practices are flawed or biased towards one group of people. There are other datapoints.

Again, you are purposefully misinterpreting what I have said.

Hiring and firing decisions aren’t colour blind in the first place. They are inherently biased towards specific groups. DEI measures are what make hiring and firing decisions colour blind.
January 25, 2025 at 4:21 AM
In what situation has one group of people been given so much assistance that they have overwhelmed the majority group?

Absolutely none. So there is no issue. You are purposefully misinterpreting what I have said to support your own argument
January 25, 2025 at 4:20 AM
If we were giving one group more resources to the point that they had an advantage over other groups in the name of equity that would actually be an issue. That is not happening. It is just ensuring everyone actually has the same chance.
January 24, 2025 at 4:52 AM
Discriminating for the purpose of equity isn’t an issue until one group becomes more prevalent than it should realistically be (I.e. a 90/10 split in population should be 90/10 in workforce, not 80/20)

Don’t be facetious here. Equity means to give resources to one group to *make them equal*.
January 24, 2025 at 4:51 AM
No those all apply actually.

Is it DEI to ensure that every applicant is considered for hire, rather than just the white ones?

Is it DEI to ensure that black people aren’t fired on the basis of being black?

this is really funny, what actually caused it to be carrots specifically?

Mystic Summit should be before blueprint. Not like it makes much of a difference but the +Mult from the joker is added first and then multiplied by the polychrome.
This was possibly the worst run I’ve had recently. I managed to get three brainstorms but couldn’t find jack shit to copy 🤦‍♂️

Your stance is still “they are lying to us” without any evidence. You are being facetious.

Normally I’d be with you on this, social media is not to be trusted. But Bluesky is the only one I know of who actually shares their code.
November 17, 2024 at 5:29 AM
The code for the entirety of Bluesky is freely available for anyone and everyone to look at to see exactly what they are doing at all times. They are quite literally the only social media company you can trust on this.
November 17, 2024 at 5:28 AM
Bluesky is Open Source. You can quite literally trust that they are not doing that. You can look at the entire codebase. It’s free. github.com/bluesky-social

This is a different argument than the one you started.

The feed generation is just an algorithm that sees “you liked posts in this category, recommend more of that”. It’s not an actual AI, it’s just called that because it sounds good to shareholders.
November 16, 2024 at 7:23 AM
Generative AI steals art.

Moderation AI literally just checks over posts to see if they match a pattern of abuse. If they do they get flagged. This is not stealing someone’s artwork.

There is a huge difference.
