Ridiculous cold expected tonight into tomorrow 🥶 Lows in the teens with wind chills in the single digits possible.
We'll warm up to near and above average levels after a cold start to the week on Monday and Tuesday.
Some showers are possible with a front on Thursday and early Friday. We won't cool off to the same extreme level of cold after that next front, though!

As we approach sunset, the combination of harsh cold and gusty winds will make it feel very cold very quickly. Single digit wind chills are expected overnight for everyone in our area. Bundle up!

TODAY | The warmest temperatures of the day happened this morning. The afternoon gets very cold in a hurry and the wind only makes it feel worse! Bundle up. And if you don't need the coats now, bring one with you if you have outdoor plans. You won't regret it!

We get less than a handful of these mornings each year.
Our neighbors up north might make fun of us, but Monday morning's cold will be ROUGH. Lows in the teens with a wind chill possibly below 10 degrees in spots! Yup, I'm staying indoors all day! 🥶 😂

Great viewing weather for Geminid meteor shower both tonight & tomorrow night!
TONIGHT | Mainly clear & chilly. Waning crescent moon rises after 1:00am so there will be ample time to see meteors. Even when the moon shows up, a waning crescent isn't nearly as bright to get in the way.

December is starting off wet, but we'll need a rather large amount of rain to catch up to average or "normal" rainfall.
Thankfully drought is not major, but I'd bet we'll see more drought to start 2026.

HURRICANE SEASON ENDS TODAY
We had a total of 13 named storms this season. Five hurricanes and four major hurricanes. Three of those storms became Category 5 hurricanes.
Only one tropical storm made landfall in the U.S.: Chantal. Only one storm made it to the Gulf: Barry.
