Thank you! It hasn’t been easy, and I still struggle with engagement—20 interactions on 1K followers isn’t great. I try to interact with romance feeds daily, even just liking posts. There are also some MM erotica starter packs floating around, though I have no idea if I’m on one!

Thank you for the offer—I just might have to take you up on it! Right now my “day job” has me swamped (weekends for nightlife workers 😅), but on Monday, I’ll be trying a few more things.
Either way, I’d love to be your friend! 😉

Glad to be inspiring!
Also, please do—just browsed through your shop, and I love the aesthetic. Your prices are super affordable too! I’ll have to do a deep dive after the weekend, but I’ve already seen a couple that caught my attention 😉

I’ve tried to do that in Canva too, but aligning the book cover correctly on a Kindle graphic is impossible (because I’m that useless, apparently 😅).
And don’t even get me started on all the tiny decisions—I’m not good with that. Took me months to settle in a consistent look for the books’ covers 😂

Thank you! That has been one of my biggest issues—I could not for the life of me get the cover to align properly on a 3D book or kindle design! 😅
I’ll be sure to check it out 😁

True! Fantasy-erotica seems to embrace worldbuilding and long-running stories more. I honestly admire that—I doubt I’d have the discipline to create a universe from “scratch.” Maybe once this project feels more “set”, I’ll finally look into it!

Hopefully, I’m making sense—trying to answer something like in 300 characters or less is way harder than I thought! But hey, brevity has never been a strong trait of our genre. 😂

I want this project to be different—built in a way where the characters grow over time. That’s why I haven’t locked characters in “endgame pairings” yet. Having them fully developed, allows me to explore different dynamics & sometimes the best stories come from the journey—not just the destination 😜

I wouldn’t say worldbuilding in erotica is taboo, but it’s often seen as counterproductive. Fast releases=more money. Comparing this project to my more “traditional” erotica pen name, the difference is night & day. Sex sells, sure—but I feel the market is full of quickly written sex stories already.

Finally, someone said it! That’s exactly what I was going for—an interconnected world that stands on its own. Sure, reading multiple stories adds depth, but it’s not mandatory. And between us, the actual character sheets I have are way longer than what I put on the website 😅

Appreciate the no judgment! As I struggle to properly set up this custom domain (and fail repeatedly), I can’t help but wonder why I didn’t just go with WP or Blogger too. Clearly, I enjoy making things harder for myself! (Or for the friend whose help I asked for after I fucked everything up 😂)

Couldn’t agree more, and I really appreciate the encouragement! ❤️ Just don’t look too closely at first—I’m definitely leaving a few pages “under construction.” Figured it’s better to start like this rather than wait until it’s 100% complete!

Couldn’t agree more! Social media is volatile and, honestly, limiting for what I want on my site. Ideally, I’d like it to be a roadmap to my work—but getting it there will definitely take some time.

Exactly! Leaving KU wouldn’t hurt Amazon—just me and the readers. Even if I could sustain sales, do I really want to make everyone buy my books instead of reading them through a membership? With how tough things are financially, I’d rather not. Hopefully, a better alternative comes along.

For now, my website is less about selling books elsewhere and more about creating a space for deeper world and character insights. I want it to be a place where readers can explore more about Redwood Springs and its inhabitants beyond what’s on the page.
February 4, 2025 at 3:11 PM
That’s a fair point, and one I’ve thought about a lot. Right now, my work is “trapped” in Amazon since it’s in KU, but I have considered expanding to other platforms. I just don’t want to make my books paid-only, given how things are economically right now.
