I'm grateful I'm moving to the postapocalypse time in my stories. It's much more fun to write about how people are moving forward than having to detail the backward movement of this current timeline.

I ended up creating a website to hold my writing. Mainly because I write interconnected short stories and it was the only way to create any sort of coherency. Each story is stand-alone but part of larger arc.

I got to write a witchy one yesterday, and I really enjoyed it.

Today I'm starting a third edit on a complex story. Since I struggle to write, I tend to write in whatever way it will come out. In this case a transcription of a documentary.

I use commentary (introductions and afterwards) to allow my major characters reflections and explanations. They don't need to be read, to enjoy the story, but they enhance the overall arc of the total universe.

In the future, I'll have to carefully vet the information on any .gov website before I link to it, and that's a damn shame.

I'll be linking the web-archive links along with the originals just in case they disappear. I'd rather people know if our gov takes down pub-med articles on essential workers and covid, the impacts of political disinformation, and the mechanisms of aggressive behavior.

I just went through all my stories, (published and in progress) and made sure any of my references are also in the web archive project. I'm going to add both to my end notes, because, just in case.

My stories are all out of order and I'll write whatever's in my head, since it's the only way to get it out.

Because everything gets written in drips, I revisit each story after it sits to keep layering on.
