It was right there, right then, that a small kid snuck up on her, so focused the Monarch was on inspecting the land in front of her, she didn’t notice her own subjects’ presence. “Queen Lumera! Here! For you!”

It was a small flower, of the purest, most beautiful blue, having somehow survived strong in the middle of winter. Its golden pistils shined just as beautifully midst its petals, something Queen Lumera noticed as, snapped out of her trance, she appreciated the flower’s beauty.

That was right. So worried she was over the war effort, she was forgetting her people. No. This would not do.

They say that, after returning the youth’s kindness tenfold, Lumera set to spread her cheer and grace all over, encouraging people to express their gratitude and love for one another in such a way that, even within the coldest of winters and harshest of wars raging around them, all’s energies were revitalized.

And so brightly did she shine, no one, no matter where in Elyos, ever forgot the sight.

There is an horizontal line followed by the last paragraph in the excerpt:

“… and that is why the Day of Monarch’s Grace, a special occasion in which people exchange gifts with those important to them, falls right in the middle of Elyos’ winter celebrations. The end.” Clanne closed his book, finishing the explanation.

Fade is usually very unfazed by most things while Huji isn't used to these sorts of things, resulting in a flustered expression from the latter.
