Do you support reopening the East Jerusalem consulate? The PLO office in DC? Do you support sanctioning not just settlers but settler orgs, revoking tax exemptions from charities that donate to them, banning settler goods imports? Do you support recognizing Palestine? Restricting arms to Israel?

I do not appreciate lying. I will respect the far more steadfastly honest, unabashedly pro-apartheid position than the pro-apartheid position which is ashamed of itself. If you're a true two-stater, then you can reflect this via the actual policies you support to substantiate this idea.

The middle sentence especially I do not think is accurate - it may have been a separate tweet in a thread, for all I know.

He tweeted this during the brief period that he was active on twitter in 2020, and he had his tweets set to autodelete after a day, which was maddening. As such, I'm butchering the quote, almost certainly. But it stuck with me.

One of the things that Asad wrote that has stuck with me most was this a tweet that said (paraphrasing): "Marxism is not just an ideology, it was a historical event. Marx's theories inspired millions, shaped countless struggles, and launched revolutions. We have not yet passed its relevance."
